{Painting Inspiration}

Sorry for the lack of posts last week, it was a busy one! My hubby and I got to celebrate his birthday Thursday eve and through the weekend with friends. It was just beautiful here in Chicago. Did you all have a nice weekend?

On a separate note, I've been itching to hang some more art in our abode. Prints and photos are fab, but I love an oversized colorful abstract. I am getting the paints out and looking for inspiration for the next original piece. {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}

{Happy Friday: Cheers to Mothers}

It's been quite a week. I'm very happy that it is Friday and look forward to relaxing and dining out! I've been on a no carb kick this week and it's going well;) I wish I got to spend Mother's Day with my lovely Mother and our family this weekend. Alas, I am here in Chicago far away - but not to worry, at the end of the month for her birthday we will be in RI celebrating with a family brunch and all through the weekend at a friend's wedding. My mother is beautiful and graceful, smart and savvy, put together and good at everything. Especially being a loving, caring generous mother for all these years, to 5 children, 5 in-laws and 13 grandchildren. Happy Mother's Day from afar Mom - I love you! {Happy Rainy Friday}

It was a lovely, sunny, warm week on in San Francisco - in fact we left 80 degrees behind and I woke up to 46 and rainy. Oh well, it's date night and I'm happy to be home. Hope you all have a nice weekend!
